•             Role: Build & Release Engineer

•             Location: Santa Clara CA

•             Duration: Long Term

•             Rate: $50-52/hour on C2C

•             Note: Local candidates are highly preferred, chances will be more to close the position.

Responsibilities:                                     

•         Responsible for defining and implementing strategies for continuous integration and release management

•         Drive the adoption of application deployment strategies.

•         Support and improve our tools for continuous integration, automated testing and release management

•         Act as a technologist resource, to guide development teams through continuous integration adoption

•         Support a distributed, high availability software development environment.

•         Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Documentation Practices, Refactoring and Testing Techniques

•         Create and implement branch and merge strategies.

 

 Qualifications:

•         Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant Engineering discipline.

•         5+ years professional experience in software engineering.

•         3+ years' experience creating and managing Continuous Integration and Deployment systems.

•         Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum practices.

•         Extensive Experience with Java programming language and scripting skills (bash/shell, Python, SQL, PERL, etc).

•         Extensive Experience of build tools like Ant, Ivy, Maven, Gradle.

•         Extensive Experience with Electric Commander.

•         Experience working with container technology such as Docker.

•         Experience working with version control systems (SVN, git, github, etc).
