Position :- Infrastructure PM
Location:- Houston,TX
Duration:- 12+ month
Job Description:
- Clearly and effectively communicate business and technical information in both oral and written form.
- Adapt quickly to a rapidly changing, fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Must work with application developers, infrastructure and project stakeholders tactfully communicating and controlling scope.
- Drive projects successfully, managing all aspects of a diverse, moderately complex to complex technical projects including project planning, execution, timing, functionality, and cost.
- You will provide a single point of contact for your projects.
- You will be responsible for creating project charters, detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans and status reports.
- You will also conduct project meetings and be responsible for project tracking and analysis.
- You will be expected to utilize your expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and to resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met.
- Each project will require different responsibilities and teams as dictated by scope.
- However, you will need to follow the IPMO Handbook Guidelines for the phases of a Project. Please take time to fully go through this Hand book and understand what you will be responsible for as a PM.
Tasks to be Performed:
- Identify infrastructure goals and project delivery for scope
- Obtain Stakeholder sign off of project plans and schedule
- Define all activities necessary to acquire project goals and objectives
- Identify, request, and assemble members for project team
- Record and document concisely and clearly all project plans, schedules, risks and financials
- Complete Risk Analysis; track and mitigate all risks and issues to the project
- Oversee project implementations and identify if relevant quality standards area attained
- Collect and present performance information related to infrastructure projects
- Work with subject matter experts, and Project Engineers throughout organization to gather entire business needs required to attain project goals
- Conduct and communicate changes throughout project inclusive of schedule, scope and team membership
- Collaborate effectively with infrastructure Engineers, and Application Developers from cross functional teams along with management levels
- Coordinate with IT Developers to meet Application and infrastructure timelines
- Proactively identify and establish critical relationships with all touch points across end-to-end delivery process to address and resolve competing priorities, and cultural and technical challenges
- Build an environment of trust, collaboration, and openness among peers and other team members.
- Shares lessons learned perceptions, and best practices openly with an eye towards continuous process improvement
- May perform other duties as assigned by management.
Skillset Details:
- 5+ years of PM experience, preferably IT PM. Infrastructure experience a plus.
- Experience as an Engineer or Developer in the past
- PMP Preferred
- Exceptional Communication Financial Reconciliation
- Ability to work in high paced environment.
