Job Description:

You will be part of the service delivery team based out of Dallas to build cutting edge products and solution that will bring disruption to the consumer lending industry. You will be charged with designing and developing new and enhancing existing products and solutions. Evaluate functional requirements and produce high-level design deliverables that enable the organization to develop applications that are robust, flexible, scalable, secure, and that support the strategic initiatives of the enterprise. Analyze, document and promote standards and patterns that represent the established architectural goals. Responsible for researching, demonstrating and providing guidance on emerging technologies and industry trends. Work directly with a Product Owner and Architect to help develop feature roadmaps and groom product backlogs for assigned applications.

Job Duties

·        Project-specific work includes designing and implementing of complex application solutions by creating reusable code components, APIs and data stores. Responsible for making design decisions and participating in their implementation utilizing proven software development patterns and OO principals.

·        Responsible for technical architecture, planning, design, optimization and support of various products, both vendor-provided and Pioneer-developed applications. Works with various business stakeholders, analysts and IT teams to develop sustainable solutions for the Pioneer user community.

·        Mentor Pioneer developers and other IT employees on uses and limitations of existing application architecture while aiding in the support of applications that are in production. Assist Pioneer business users in application utilization and further requirements gathering. Stays well-informed of emerging technologies.

Qualifications

·        Bachelor's degree strongly preferred. Preferred field of education is computer science, software development or related studies. Consideration will be given for technical knowledge and experience as it relates to a degree.

·        8+ years of experience in designing, implementing and supporting applications, APIs and database architectures of various sizes and complexity. Some oil and gas experience preferred.

·        Must demonstrate expertise in the Microsoft technology stack (.Net, SQL Server, etc.) Expertise utilizing OO principals and software design patterns highly desired. Experience with web services (REST).

·        Must have substantial experience with data access layer implementation patterns (.Net, EF) as well as transactional database modeling (SQL Server).

·        Advanced understanding of data access and database layers performance bottlenecks troubleshooting and optimization is expected.

·        Prior experience with cloud-based development technologies and approaches strongly preferred. Experience with the client-side web technologies desired.

·        Demonstrated mentoring and problem-solving skills required.
