Notes from call:

Background: Client acquired some online properties with technologies behind it. They will be working a on a product that hasn't been touched for a while. Will do improvements, rapid iteration,

1.       SQL skills need to be strong

2.       Pull from different data sources

3.       Data is messy stored in f3 (exp with aws) data work is going to go beyond just sql query. Not the most advanced thing that someone has done.

 

2 main tasks

Have analysis doing a bunch of work. Go ahead automate this over to a dashboard.

1^st – Building out dashboards with tableau 8 or 9.2, playing around with DOMO. BI tools

2^nd - Data side of it: sql queries, HIVE

 

Manual process –

Taking data from a bunch of reports.

Bringing data together.

Documentation is going to be important

Data engineer background

S3 would be very uses

Mysql redshift

Using google analytics, abobe
