Cert: CCNA/CCNP (DNS expertise)

Term: 12 mo

Location: Remote

H1 OK but must have 9/10 comm skills; lots of client interface on the phone.

 

Scope

•             IP / DNS Administration.

•             Fulfillment of IP address requests utilizing BNYM's Vital QIP IP administration tool.

•             If data center related, configure data center port requirements on Cisco switches that may be in conjunction with the IP requests.  

•             Attend technical requirement meetings with requestors, PM's, or application owners to understand the specifics to individual requests, or project requests.

•             Fulfillment of DNS Change requests, for both individual and project based items.

•             Attend meetings with requestors, PM's application requesters to fully understand large or complex DNS change requests.

•             Work with the IP Engineering team to create better documentation and standards of the installed DNS base.

•             This includes both internal and external DNS services. External is through Verisign DNS services.

•             There is weekday after hour and weekend on call support required.
