HRIS Manager
Location: Palo Alto, CA
Start Date: asap
Duration: 3-6 month Contract-to-Hire
Face to Face/Skype
USC, GC and EAD-GC only
This one is through a separate line of business, but they are looking for an experienced Workday, HRIS Manager to support the team. The person in the seat now is transitioning into a different role and they need to backfill the position. They want to eventually convert to FTE.
THE ROLE:
Reporting to the VP IT Business Applications, he HRIS Manager will partner with the People & Culture team to provide leadership and program management to design, develop, deploy and maintain Medallia's HR Information Systems in support of the company strategic initiatives and growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop and maintain a multi-year HRIS roadmap, Analyze future releases and perform fit/gap analysis relevant
· Build new and optimize current processes for all aspects of HRIS functionality including, but not limited to, core HR, absence management, compensation structure, and talent management
· Partner with People & Culture, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, and other teams to design, prioritize and implement scalable new functionality
· Design and develop dashboards to answer relevant business questions in an easy to understand format
· Provide day-to-day support on Workday systems configurations, security, reports, and troubleshooting
· Engage and manage key HRIS vendors
· Ensure system compliance with security configuration to gear up for SOX compliance
· Measure satisfaction of our analytics and technology support via ServiceNow
· Influence and support the selection of HR systems
· Maintain and update all relevant HRIS integrations points to streamline business processes
ABOUT YOU:
· Strong HR related business process acumen
· Past experience of HRIS implementations, at least 1 being WorkDay
· Ability to juggle multiple projects yet stay focused on delivering top priorities
· Minimum +3 years of hand-on experience with Workday security and configuration
· Proven experience building dashboards using advanced and composite reports as well as calculated fields
· Solid knowledge of HR systems structure and an understanding of interdependencies between various systems and downstream impact
· Strong project management skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Positive attitude and passion for the opportunity
· Innovative thinker, eager to learn, grow, and develop
· Organized, problem solver, process-oriented
Nice to Have:
· Experience with web service integration (Simple Object Access Protocol, Web Service Definition Language)
· 3+ years experience with XML, XSLT and Java
· 3+ years experience with Workday Studio, EIB, and Cloud Connect a plus
3+ years experience in similar technical function supporting WDAY implementation
