Location: Des Moines, Iowa

Job Description -
Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of insurance and financial services products preferred. Advanced planning/organizational, problem-solving, analytical, time management, decision-making, and communication skills required, as well as solid leadership and basic presentation skills.
Must be able to effectively communicate technical plans, strategies, and designs to all levels of the company. Basic knowledge of business unit applications preferred. Must be able to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
Proficiency with database applications; knowledge of mainframe, distributed, and/or web programming languages.
Bachelor's degree in a computer related field or equivalent work experience plus 6-10 years of experience in IT field required. Prove n experience as a IT professional.
Responsibilities:
Expectation is that candidate will be able to work within an agile methodology on a self-managed team.
Strong communication skills and willingness to work with a team are required. Under general supervision, develop specifications and write basic to complex technical programs working with COBOL, DB2, JCL, and SQL. Code, test, debug, implement, document and maintain those programs.

3. Could you breakdown the responsibility composition for this role in terms of percentages? (Front-end..Middleware..Back-end..New development 10%..Maintenance 10%.... reporting 20% etc.) probably a good 50/50 mix of new and maintenance, with most of the 'new' being a part of existing systems/programs
4. Will this person be any sort of team lead? No
5. Size and Culture of their team? Scaled Agile scrum team of mixed roles, 1 BA/PO, 1 scrum master, 1-2 QA, 3-5 developers with mixed skillsets of distributed and mainframe language.
