Job Title	QA Analyst – MID LEVEL
Location	Nashville, TN
Duration	9 months plus
Rate	30/hr c2c
Interview	1st Interview – Phone; 2nd Interview Skype or in-person (We will fly in your candidate)

 

Overview:

The QA person must have been a developer earlier in their career one or two years. Developer transitioned to QA Analyst.

Needs to have Automated Tools in their background.

Intermediate to strong knowledge of creating SQL queries through SQL Server 2008

 

Responsibilities:

• Adherence to the Defined QA Workflow and Quality Principles
• Become the Product SME for owned applications
• Manage iteration capacity requirements within the team
• Define and perform iteration and regression testing
• Track testing progress during the course of an iteration  
• Manage software defects tracking, reporting, follow-up, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to Development team and management
• Collaborate with the team Developers and Business Analysts to evaluate or diagnose problems and recommend possible solutions
• Report on defined QA artifacts and metrics to development team
• Help develop and manage quality practices within assigned team and department
• Develop testing strategies that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability
• Establish automation and performance tests practices through the usage of SQL queries and Stored Procedures
• Plan test schedules or strategies with development team and sync around project scope or delivery dates
• Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality
• Engage the BA prior to the start of each iteration to review User Story documentation with the purpose of identifying potential gaps in requirement or test scenarios
• Maintain historical data of test results and QA artifacts
• Coordinate and manage uses of offshore team for project tasks
• Review of QA artifacts of Peers

 

Required Experience/Education:

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Understanding of cross-functional impact of changes in relationship to software updates, bug fixes, new releases of software internally or externally developed  
• Experienced implementing and utilizing an Automation framework
• Experience testing Business Intelligence applications
• Intermediate to strong knowledge of creating SQL queries through SQL Server 2008
• College Graduate OR equivalent work experience
