Job Description:
Advance practical knowledge of IP technical solutions - IPV4, IPV6, routing and switching, MPLS, services l2 vpn, l3 vpn , vll – epipe, apipe, cpipe, qos, multicast.
Extensive experience in IP/MPLS domain.
Hands-on in configuring routers/switches with Command Line Interface
· Nokia (Alcatel-Lucent) 7705 SAR-8, 7705 SAR-18 & 7750 SR-12
· Cisco (Cat 9k, Nexus 9K, 7K, 5K, 2K), 3850, 3750, 2921, ASR, ISR, IE
Knowledge and experience on Ciena 6500 (DWDM) will be a plus.
Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS, OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, VRF, PBR)
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades.
Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
Experience with field-based work in POPs, data centers and Central Office environments
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
Nokia (Alcatel Lucent) NRS2 certification
Cisco, Juniper network specialist certification will be a plus
Good practical knowledge of 5620 SAM (NE integration, SW upload & upgrade, backups) alarm monitoring and interpretation
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English.
Can work independently and also in a team.
Can travel for business, even at short notice
Can work under pressure of time
