Position: Java Developer with Automation Knowledge

Location: San Jose, CA

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 6 Months CTH

Primary Job Responsibilities: This position includes design and implementation of enterprise-level infrastructure and applications for payment processing activities.

· The candidate will work with peers in development and product management to solve complex software engineering problems and pro actively propose solutions to address technical challenges and business requirements.

· The candidate will be expected to quickly become an effective member and eventually a leader within their individual scrum team after a reasonable amount of ramp-up time.

· After adequate ramp-up time the candidate is expected to come up to speed on the complexities of the Client environment but there is a strong expectation that the candidate will be a self-starter and drive their own education.

· We are a global team.

· Although we expect the team members to be collocated for Scrum delivery, there should be a sense of urgency and behavioural eagerness when it comes to help our global teams.

· Primary job responsibilities include: Design and implement highly available and scalable back end software components in Java in the Client Payments domain.

· Deliver high quality code to production within a short development cycle in the Continuous Integration environment.

· Conduct design and code reviews, fix bugs, and resolve production issues

· Handle periodic on-call support as well as out-of-band requests

· Work effectively with globally distributed teams in multiple time zones Job Requirements: The ideal candidate must have broad experience in enterprise application design and architecture, system performance and scalability, as well as some knowledge of related technical architectures (network, security, and infrastructure engineering) and data architecture.

· 7+ year experience in web services, distributed systems, and highly available and scalable applications.

· Strong object-oriented programming skills in Java

· Very good knowledge of Core Java and J2EE and should have worked on high availability, low latency platforms.

· Should have worked on projects implementing workflow based JAVA systems using open source libraries.

· Ability to question status quo and identify bad design/code patterns which can impact performance and maintainability of the code.

· Excellent understanding of system design and design patterns.

· Previous experience with the Agile methodology.

· Experience in developing robust RESTful services is desirable.

· Have very good communication skills with the ability to drive cross-functional projects by driving consensus

· Have strong experience in the Spring framework

· BS degree in computer science or related fields.

· MS degree desired.
