Job Description – 10 Years Of Experience

We are looking for an experienced database administrator who will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of clusters of MySQL instances and Oracle Databases. You will also be responsible for orchestrating upgrades, backups, and provisioning of database instances.

Responsibilities -MSSQL

· Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.

· Ensure all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the business's Recovery Point Objectives (RPO)

· Test backups to ensure we can meet the business' Recovery Time Objectives (RTO)

· Troubleshoot SQL Server service outages as they occur, including after-hours and weekends

· Choose whether to use clustering, log shipping, mirroring, Windows Azure, or other technologies for a new build.

· Install and configure new SQL Servers

· Deploy database change scripts provided by third party vendors

· When performance issues arise, determine the most effective way to increase performance including hardware purchases, server configuration changes, or index/query changes

· Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.

· Document the organization's database environment

· Failover clustering, SAN replication, and other high availability technologies

· SQL Server merge, peer to peer, or transactional replication

· Service Broker

· Analysis Services, Integration Services, or Reporting Services

· Data migration experience and Data refresh experience

· Experience in Replication (Transactional) and in depth knowledge in high availability

· Experience in database Cluster (SQL 2005, 2008,2012 &2014)and SSIS, SSRS, SSAS

Position Description:

Key duties and responsibilities include:

Collaborate with other developers to produce working software that delivers business value and follows established design patterns
Develop, Code or modify, test, and debug application programs of varying degree of complexity
Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
Troubleshoot production problems within assigned applications software
Work with business users to develop and implement acceptance tests to ensure that product meets customer requirements and expectations.
Implement recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards

Skills Requirements:

Basic Qualifications

Proven experience in full software lifecycle development
Expertise in ColdFusion 11 and Oracle 11g Database (RAC).
Experience in software and COTS integration processes.
Demonstrated understanding of full software development lifecycle, including quality gates (inspections, unit testing, early integration testing)

Experience with Java/J2EE, XML with Soap or REST Web Services and Unix Solaris
Experience with Agile practices.
Experience working directly with customers to discuss their requirements and objectives.
Ability to prioritize, status, and multitask.
Good verbal and written communication skills.

Education:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of experience required with a related Master's degree. Considered an emerging authority.
