Windows Field Engineer

Job Desc:

Extensive experience working as a Desktop Support Technician.

Working administrative knowledge of Windows Operating Systems: 98, 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7.

Understanding of Active Directory Domain security model. 

Administrative experience with Domain User Account.

Working knowledge of Win2K Administrative Tools. 

Basic working knowledge of TCP/IP including DNS, WINS, SMTP, FTP, HTTP, PPTP. 

Ability to Install and upgrade microcomputer software and hardware; configure microcomputers according to corporate standards. 

Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and maintain (x86) hardware and software. 

Experience installing, updating, and identifying problems.

Intermediate to Advanced administrative knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. 

Experience with Antivirus software. 

Microsoft Exchange mailbox administration.

Minimum Requirements:

Must meet contract level requirements for appropriate position.  In addition:

2 or more years of technical training.

Thorough file server support and maintenance knowledge.

2 years of client/server support and troubleshooting experience.

8 years of technical or customer support experience.

Experience working with company products and operating systems.

Experience with solving computer-related problems, and with company escalation policies.

Problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to interpret software and hardware documentation.

Understanding of LAN infrastructure protocols, e.g., DHCP and DNS.

3 years of general Windows-based server administration.

Team-oriented with a professional attitude and customer focus.

Good communications and writing skills; and excellent customer relations are a must.
