Finding monitoring talent can be difficult. When I say monitoring talent I mean experience with tools such as IBM Tivoli Monitoring, CA Wily, Aternity, Site Scope, etc. The skills that they must have are UNIX (Linux, AIX, SUN), WinTel, Shell and Perl scripting backgrounds. The Enterprise Management team writes a lot complex perl scripts to extract and load data as well as interface various tools sets such as the tools noted above. They must also be able to navigate the various OSI's mentioned for trouble shooting purposes. Not saying these candidates need to be SA or development material, but the skill sets noted need to be well understood and developed
