Expert Linux system administration --- San Jose, CA -- Long Term

Please send resume to Nalin.jetty@shstinc.com

Position : Expert Linux system administration
Location : San Jose, CA
Duration : Long Term

Support Engineer

Expert Linux system administration, expert troubleshooting skills, expert java application server (tomcat/apache web server) and MySQL database configuration/troubleshooting, good at networking, a huge plus would be to have video/IPTV with MPEG2/4 expertise.

Excellent customer facing issue management, tracking and resolution skills. Expert shell/perl/python/awk/sed scripting skills---though this goes along with solid system administration

Update Position details and needs Support Engineering is the highest level of escalation, supporting Stadium Vision. If that group can't resolve/fix an issue, they have to get the developers of the product involved. Often issues come up during or just before a live event. The inability to resolve the issues could cost Cisco major multi-million $ accounts.

They rotate 24/7 on call support and have to able to work with end clients. A fairly common theme among the candidates we've submitted is they are strong system administrators but they are weak in the ability to fix or troubleshoot network related issues. They typically have tools that they run to resolve issues. But if that doesn't work they don't have the ability to dig in any further

Thanks & Regards,
Nalin Jetty,
