Position:Linux Virtualization Engineer
Duration:11 Months
Location:DENVER CO
Must be a US Citizen or GC Holder.
 

Job Description:
Equivalent of Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related field
VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) preferred
 5+ years experience in one or more of the following preferred:
Windows System Administration
Linux/UNIX system Administration
Storage Administration
Network Administration
Advanced knowledge of vSphere at the Enterprise Level
A solid understanding of vSphere fundamentals; understands ESX/ESXi configuration and management using both vCenter and CLI, storage allocation and presentation to virtual guests, Clustering concepts including HA, DRS, and FT, and virtual networking configuration with vSwitch/dvSwitch.
Excellent skills at identifying and resolving current or potential performance bottlenecks within a Virtual Enterprise
Strong skillset in proactively managing virtual capacity at storage, network, memory, and CPU layers using various native, third party, and homegrown tools
In depth understanding of storage configurations and the performance implications thereof, including knowledge of RAID and other fault tolerance technologies, vendor-specific caching and disk pooling methodologies, NFS, SAN, and disk architectures such as SATA and SAS
Familiarity with security and hardening of servers and obtaining authorization to operate.
Thorough understanding of the TCP/IP Suite (TCP, UDP, IP, ICMP, etc.) as well as the network management protocol, SNMP
Familiarity and knowledge of other Virtualization Technologies

VMWare-Infrastructure (P2 - Proficient)
