Need Sr. CISCO Network Engineer Candidates MUST HAVE Cisco ISE and ACE. (Cisco Identity Services Engine)
Location : Gaithersburg, MD
Duration : 12 month contract.
Prefer H1b candidates only.
Candidates not meeting all of the mandatory requirements below will not be considered for the position.
The candidate will be onsite 4 days of the week and on Fridays can work remotely.
The Sr. Network Engineer reports directly to the Sr. Manager of the Network team. The successful candidate provides support for Company's WAN Infrastructure and network, including supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of Company's global WAN infrastructure.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Provide design, planning, configuration, documentation, deployment and senior escalation support for network WAN infrastructure.
Provide architecture, design and planning for a complex WAN infrastructure. Must be familiar with Cisco switches, including Nexus (7k, 5k and 10k) switches, as well as Cisco routers.
Design and implement global load balancers and internal load balancers, including migrating between environments such as ACE and Netscaler. Manage and migrate proxies of multiple varieties, including TMG, Juniper and Netscalers.
Assist with the resolution of escalated incidents and participates in problem management activities.
Researches and analyzes data or voice networking technologies to remain pro-active and current in the industry. Makes recommendations for future direction.
24x7 on call support in rotation with three other Level 3 engineers. Position is not first tier response.
Train and mentor junior engineers and other members of the telecommunications department.
Follow-on support of wired and wireless architectures and infrastructure in both pre-existing buildings and new construction.
Advanced knowledge of multiple technology areas including several of the following: IP based networking principles, practices and technology, deployed on Cisco Networks switches and routers.
Required Skills:
WAN Networking, including BGP, EIGRP and other routing protocols Loadbalancers, including ACE and Netscaler Security, including Cisco ASA or FWSM firewalls and IPS, as well as vulnerability management in a modern Cisco infrastructure
Experience designing routing and switching environments for multiple sites on a national basis.
Requires full lifecycle experience (requirement gathering/defining, design, testing, implementation, operations).
Experience with LAN and WAN data center operations design and network operations & monitoring.
Experience creating detailed network diagrams and technical documentation.
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Anticipate problems, resolve ambiguity and take decisive action.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or 8 years' equivalent network experience (Cisco preferred)
