Requirement.

*4+ years' total development experience with several of the following: client/server Java, JUnit, RHEL or CentOS Linux, Apache TomCat, C++, XML, Oracle and/or MySQL, web services (RESTful/SOAP), JavaScript, JSON, RPM, SNMPv3 agents and clients, network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, LDAP).
*3+ years development experience in Java specifically.
*Expertise in OO based software design, integration and troubleshooting.
*Bachelor*s Degree in Engineering discipline (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or etc.)

Preferences

*2+ years' experience in the design and development of Network Management Systems or Element Management Systems (NMS/EMS).
*Advanced Linux sysadmin or scripting skills (Bash, Perl, Python, PHP etc.)
*Expertise in developing, monitoring and/or troubleshooting of large scale satellite networks.
*Expertise in monitoring and troubleshooting of large scale terrestrial network systems and/or enterprise network products, especially in Element Engagement (device level).
*Familiarity with network management platforms such as the IBM Tivoli Suite (OMNIbus, TNPM, ITNCM), GroundWorks, HP OpenView etc.
*Expertise with building RPM packages.
*Familiarity with modern software methodologies including agile/scrum processes, test-driven development (TDD), and/or UML modeling.
*Experience working in a geographically distributed project environment.
*Communications engineering education and/or work experience, especially satellite related.
