We are looking for a Javascript Sr. Developer to support world's leader in providing IT consulting and software services to the finest global organizations client.
This is a 6 Months Contract based in Palo Alto, California
Position: Javascript Sr. Developer
Location: Palo Alto, California
Duration: 6 months
Extension: Yes
Your activities will include:
ü Design and develop new modules, products, and enhancements in line with requirements. This will include requirements elicitation, detailed design, coding, and testing, etc.
ü Determine and provide the necessary level of technical documentation during requirements gathering, based on technical services group standards and procedures and discussions with project staff, industry experience, and technical vendors.
ü Work along with technical lead and technical architect in creation of project-specific documentation such as technical specifications, etc.
ü Create test plans and ensure that issues are properly fixed, tested and regressed.
ü Communicate daily progress on the project activities with the technical leads.
ü Participate in Knowledge Management activities with the objective of ensuring the highest levels of service offerings to clients in own technology domain WITHIN the guidelines, policies and norms of Infosys Technologies.
Key skills:
ü At least 5+ years of experience in developing web applications using JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, Cascading Style Sheets, REST, JSON, and AJAX.
ü Excellent experience with JavaScript and libraries/frameworks like jQuery, Bootstrap, Backbone and SASS.
ü Good experience in an open-source LAMP development environment, Terminal, SSH, and Bash.
ü Extensive experience in JavaScript unit testing and automation tools like Jasmine, Phantom js, and Grunt.
ü Experience in Firebug, Developer Tools, or similar ways of debugging.
ü Experience in DOM manipulation and AJAX-enabled UIs.
ü Experience of web standards and cross-browser compatibility.
ü Understanding of JavaScript frameworks like Backbone, Angular, Ember, etc. and CoffeeScript is a plus.
ü Understanding of Agile development methodologies (XP, Scrum etc.).
ü Ability to communicate in objects and prototypes as easily as functions and operators.
ü Maintain understanding of current web technologies or programming practices through continuing education, reading, or participation in professional conferences, workshops, or groups.
ü Understand system requirements and non-functional requirements like performance, security, availability, scalability etc.
ü Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
