Position: Data Centric Testing
Location: PORTLAND, OR
Duration: 3+ Months (3 to 6 Months)
Experience: 5-8 YEARS
JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Minimum 6+ years of technical experience in software quality assurance 4+ years of experience using Informatica
· Good experience in Terra data and Congo's testing Good experience in SQL, PL SQL & Oracle Proficient in requirement understanding.
· Ability to comprehend System Features and generate comprehensive.
· Test cases accordingly Outstanding problem-solving plus excellent verbal and written.
· Communications skills are a must.
· Excellent Customer management skills.
Technical Skills:
Data Centric testing:
· Should ve able to write SQL statements involving complex joins and grouping
· Should be able to understand the data model
· Should be able to create test plan based on Mapping document
· Ability to test at least one ETL (like Informatica or Data Stage) or BI tool (like BO or Crystal Reports) Ability to use a testing management tool
Application Testing:
· Should be able to differentiate the different testing phases like UnitIntegration, System, Acceptance, Regression testing.
· Should be capable to perform these tests with the help of ready-test cases.
· Should understand Test Plans, Requirement Traceability Matrix, and Orthogonal Array Tool.
· Should be able to do metrics analysis and reliability analysis effectively with DFA tool.
Data Centric testing:
· Should be able to write sql statements involving joins and grouping.
· Should have good knowledge of Database concepts.
· Should able to understand the Mapping Document.
· Should be able to prepare test cases based on mapping document.
Application Testing:
· Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products.
· Develops and executes software test plans.
· Analyses and writes test standards and procedures.
· Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
· Analyses test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.
· Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
· Works on problems of limited scope, through usage of standard programming concepts and principles.
· Works under high supervision/guidance with frequent review of accomplished objectives.
· Expected to learn on the job towards developing domain knowledge along with technical/ proprietary skills.
