Position: Cobol Mainframe Developer
Location: Torrance(CA)
Duration: 3- 6 months
Skills: JCL, IMS, DB2, COBOL, CICS, IMS DB, IMS DC, Tools – FileAid, ChangeMan, xPeditor, SPUFI, QMF, OPC, Microsoft word, Excel, Visio, MS Project,
JD
· Analyze business processes, procedures, and policy to identify and document business process, requirements, and rules.
· Read COBOL code and translate logic into pseudo code, as-is documentation.
· Assist with the extraction of data elements from multiple sources.
· Create and maintain a variety of related artifacts (e.g., requirements, process models or diagrams, data matrices, project deliverables).
· Design and develop applications and complete coding activities using COBOL, DB2, and JCL.
· Develop application test and data validation plans and cases, conduct testing activities, and evaluate the test results.
· Plan for and conduct implementation activities.
· Collate periodic reports and interface on a daily/weekly basis with customer.
· Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis.
