The primary focus of the candidate is to help maintain data consistency in a master/master database setup. The candidate should have experience with Oracle RDBMS, Oracle Golden Gate and Streams replication technologies, PL/SQL, and some Unix scripting skills. In addition, experience with Oracle Veridata would be a plus. The position is part of a Development DBA team so additional responsibilities could include DDL and DML review and performance analysis.
Years of Experience: 4+ years
Education requirement: Bachelors Degree
We support Oracle our main database and do design and performance analysis and optimization performance. The primary focus of the candidate is to help maintain data consistency in a master/master database setup
Oracle RDBMS, Oracle Golden Gate and Streams replication technologies, PL/SQL, and some Unix scripting skills. The key is to have knowledge of Oracle. Need SQL and PLSQL. Ideally they will have replication experience such as golden gate or streams.
Some Unix background. We use Golden Gate Oracle Veridata to keep data in sync so if they have this it would be a plus.
What would make someone successful in this role
We have a small team so this person must be comfortable to collaborate with the team.
