Database / ETL Developer The Database / ETL Developer is responsible for the development and maintenance of the database, extracts and ETLs. Will also contribute in the design of new Data Warehouse Components/Data Mart. Each team member is responsible for the quality and maintenance of the all data integration processes.

 

 

Section III – Duties and Responsibilities

 

1.	Design and development of Data Warehouse/Data Mart
2.	DBA like review/setup of databases
3.	Complex SQL, stored proc development
4.	Design and develop ETL Data Loading packages
5.	Translate Business Requirements into technical solutions
6.	Provide Support of the Data Warehouse
7.	Adhere to ETL/Data Warehouse development Best Practices and Standards.
8.	Ability to identify and resolve any performance and/or data related issues
9.	Provide documentation (Data Mapping, Technical Specifications, Production Support, data dictionaries, test cases, etc.) for all projects

Positions Supervised:	N/A
Internal Contacts:	PWM Product Management, Project Management, Technology User Adoption, PWM Engineering, Information Systems, Information Security/ Disaster Recovery, and other teams/ resources as required.
External Contacts:	Current and potential business partners/vendors.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:	Experience & Education: ·         Bachelors Computer Science ·         5+ Years of in MS SQL Server Database Design/Development ·         4+ Years of MS SSIS Experience ·         3+ Years of Data Warehousing Experience ·         3+ Years leading Data Warehouse projects   Technical Skills: ·         Deep (DBA like) SQL Server database knowledge ·         Advanced Microsoft SQL Development (T-SQL) ·         Advanced Microsoft SSIS Development(2005, 2008, 2012) ·         Development with .NET technology   stack (ASP.net, C#) ·         Working knowledge of SSRS ·         Experience implementing Enterprise Level Data Warehouses ·         Understanding of Agile and its implementation for Data Warehouse Development ·         Advance knowledge of ET/DQ concepts ·         Ability to debug and performance tune ·         Strong experience with Source Control (TFS, VSS, SVN, git etc.) ·         Strong experience with SQL Server Management Studio ·         Experience working with other ETL tools like Informatica is a HUGH plus   Professional Skills/Competency:   ·         Capital Markets knowledge and experience is highly desired ·         Understanding of traditional and alternative asset class investment data, including but not limited to equity, fixed income, private equity, real estate, derivatives, mutual funds, ETFs, global assets, foreign exchange, etc. ·         Focus on development/ improvement of framework to support repeatable and scalable solutions   Personal Skills/Competency ·         Consistently demonstrates and follows high standards of integrity in business decision-making ·         Looks toward the broadest possible view of an issue/ challenge; can easily pose future scenarios; can think globally about all aspects of the Bank; can discuss multiple considerations of an issue and forecast them into the future; understands how the Bank works, competes, serves clients, and generates shareholder value ·         Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to communicate clearly and concisely in a variety of settings and styles; is effective in a variety of formal presentation and meeting settings ·         Gains support for change by providing context and responding with sensitivity to concerns; takes initiative to recommend/ develop innovative approaches to getting things done ·         Can quickly find common ground and solve problems for the good of all; is a team player and encourages collaboration
