Job: SQL Server DBA ( Production Support )
Duration: 1 year contract
Location: Orlando,FL
This position involves production support
SQL Database Administrator Specialist in Orlando, FL.
The DBA contractor should have strong experience in implementing and supporting databases in SQL Server 2008 R2 and 2012. The DBA contractor should also be skilled in all DBA-related tasks such as DB monitoring, backups & restores, DB refreshes, DB migrations, encryption, performance monitoring and troubleshooting. Very importantly, the contractor must be proficient with SQL version upgrades, SQL Server clusters, and High Availability solutions.
The selected resource will have strong oral and written communication skills as they will have significant interaction with application teams, other DBA team members, and management.
This contractor should be able to work independently within a team, receiving general direction with periodic work product reviews. They must have the ability to operate in a fast-paced project environment and be flexible in that environment to meet project timelines. The work will include some after-hours support including weekends.
