Extensive capability debugging build compiler and linking errors in multiple coding languages

This person will need to be hands on with Websphere, deploying, build, troubleshooting.
Plus skill if they began their career as a QA tester.
They will be handling tickets from 200 developers and will need to prioritize tickets

Job: Business Analyst - Data Analyst with Geological or Geophysical experience Exp..!!

Candidates may either be a Business Analyst that was previously a Developer, or be a Developer who has had Business Analyst type responsibilities. 


Business Analyst/Data Analyst
 
The general responsibilities of the Business Analyst/Data Analyst are to help the core team develop analytical tools for drilling, completions, and/or production engineers and techs. This position requires a positive approach to fixing and solving issues for the engineering group.  The selected candidate will work closely with development teams to ensure specifications are translated into product properly and presents the solution to end users. This position is also responsible for training, creating documentation, and support.

This specific position will be working on developing improvements to existing Oracle based Datamart.  This will require minimizing high frequency data and anomalies within core applications and multiple SQL Server, Access and Excel  databases and then model the data into a form which can be imported into the existing Oracle based Datamart  via SSIS as an ETL tool.  Candidate must have the technical ability to query data from many diverse sources and assist in creating reports to management.  This position will work closely with the various business units, engineering / tech groups to understand and identify business needs, and then translate those needs into spec documents for the development team. 

Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems is required. Oil and gas experience is preferred.
Oil & gas experience is a plus -  but not specifically required
3-10 years of information systems experience with:
Gathering business requirements developing spec documents; designing work flow charts and process maps using Visio; use cases; prototyping; quality control and software testing
Supporting both in-house and 3rd party applications
Working knowledge of relational databases (oracle is core to client Datamart)
The ability to query either with SQL or query/reporting tools (SSIS / SSRS) ROAD, Crystal Reports
Project management experience is a plus
Domestic travel will be required at less than 25%
