Job: Build and Release (Software Configuration Management)
Duration: 6+ months
Location: Denver, CO.
Max rate is $53/hr C2C.

1.Build Automation Experience (tools or scripting - PowerShell, ANT, MSBuild, VBS)
2.SCM process – details that show they know the process
3.Versionn control (i.e. TFS, StarTeam, Clearcase, PVCS)
Looking for a highly motivated, energetic team player to perform Software Configuration Management (SCM). This position holds a wide range of responsibilities including build automation, release management, and deployments. The qualified candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced development environment and be able to adapt to changes quickly and efficiently. In this capacity the applicant will support and assist multiple development teams with source code management, build processes, configuration audits, metrics generation, and the delivery/release of the final products to multiple locations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and willing and capable of learning new technical skills. The candidate must be a highly motivated 'self-starter' possessing strong verbal and written communication skills and capable of working well within a team or independently as the situation dictates. Candidate must be available for after-hours CM support when needed.
Responsibilities:
Administration and maintenance of version control tools: Team Foundation Server, StarTeam
Support and enhance SCM processes and procedures needed to support the Software development teams.
Coordinate the creation of software branches for parallel development and the use of labels to identify formal builds.
Work with Project Management team to plan development of multiple projects in the source control tool and identify any risks or issues.
Supports configuration control by developing, interpreting, and implementing software configuration management procedures in accordance with company procedures and standards.
Perform builds and deployments to multiple environments.
Repair and recover from software deployment failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted user base.
Design, develop, and maintain automation tools using programming, database or scripting languages to improve software builds and deployments.
Skills:
Technology related bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination of training and experience)
Ability to interface/coordinate with development lanes, QA, and IT Operations
Ability to work with limited supervision and direction
Familiar with basic T-SQL commands (Oracle and/or MS SQL Server)
Must be knowledgeable with version control tools and branching/labeling strategies
Scripting experience in VBS, PowerShell, ANT, MSBuild, etc
Experience with defect tracking software and automated build tools
Successful candidate will be highly technical, analytical, and enjoy problem solving
