Job: IVR Tester
Duration: 6 month plus contract
Location: Charlotte, NC
IVR Tester: $34/hr is the absolute max, C2C
The IVR Test Engineer will be responsible for creating and executing test cases exercising the Enterprise IVR applications. The focus of this position is to contribute to the planning, estimation, creation and execution of the test strategy, test plans, test scripts and test data, on small to large complex projects as an individual contributor. Work closely with development, testing and subject matter experts during the entire life-cycle of the projects to insure product quality. Identify and advocate QA testing standards and processes. The IVR test engineer MUST possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, candidates that cannot clearly and concisely convey test status, bug details or blocking issues need not apply.
1. Test against requirements for new applications by working with business owners, vendor partners and development team and to understand designs of new IVR, CTI, Web Services and other Telecommunications technologies using industry standards
2. Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.
3. Execute manual test scripts in order to validate acceptance criteria as provided in the user stories and requirements.
4. Provide succinct and accurate documentation and verbal notification of issues.
5. Collaborate with remote members of a team.
6. Effectively and actively participate within a cross functional team across multiple applications, domains and business constituents.
7. Enter clear and concise story bugs in Jira following the best practices and standards of the project team.
8. Utilize pre-defined and standardized test documentation, processes and templates.
9. Respectfully provide different and new perspectives during open team conversations and interactions.
10. Does not require frequent redirection, repeated clarification or explanation of information and instructions once they have been provided.
11. Other tasks and duties as assigned, relating to system integration and testing of new or existing services and products.
12. Test the Web services architecture and overall web infrastructure
13. Test CTI based solutions to see that they meet specifications and improve sharing and test business rules usage of call information and routing.
14. Conduct research into current and emerging technologies and issues in support of test efforts.
15. Strong working knowledge of using industry best practices and standards for testing.
16. Run tests using tools to validate process and data, do integration testing by placing calls and validating responses and data
Job Requirements:
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree with a concentration Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Website Design or equivalent experience of two to four years of information system development and/or automated test tool utilization and reporting.
Experience with CRM Testing: at least 1 year
Working experience testing web applications including RESTful and SOAP architectural styles
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Working, hands on experience with cross browser testing is required- .

Virtual Machine installation and use: Nice to have
SQL (the ability to manipulate the existing queries, understand table structures: Nice to have
SOA/RESTful API experience and understanding (not just familiar with concepts): Nice to have
Jenkins: Nice to have
Teleconferencing experience: MUST
work experience with Avaya Telecommunications (Common Telephony Concepts, Avaya JTAPI/TSAPI, CMS Reporting, & SIP: MUST
Cyara Software Application Tool: MUST
Experience with core software applications including: Eclipse, Geronimo, Weblogic, SoapUI, Apache Tomcat, CVS, and Toad. MUST
Proven experience and knowledge of working with standard software applications used for testing, such as HP QC, Jira, Jenkins/Maven
