This is a Mobile App Developer.
MUST HAVES:
Native iOS or Android Development experience
Good Communication Skills
Javascript Framework for Mobile App Development
Experience in node.js or JQuery Mobile
Nice to Have:
Appcelerator experience ***manager will phone screen anyone who has this skill***
SUMMARY
Under general direction of the Director, Mobility Center of Excellence (MCOE), the incumbent will develop quality, enterprise-class mobile applications and innovative solutions that address business needs. In addition to daily project work, the incumbent will add to the collective knowledge and capabilities of the MCOE through the exploitation of new technologies and development approaches and the free sharing of ideas within the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Builds innovative, exceptional and well-engineered mobile applications with intuitive, well-designed user interfaces that satisfy and delight both internal users and external customers of AmerisourceBergen
Participates in all aspects of the software development process as required, including analysis, design, development, documentation, testing, deployment and support
Excels in translating business and technical requirements into well-engineered, tested, and deployed solutions
Maintains technical ownership of projects, applications and releases, acts as liaison to other technical teams, and provides troubleshooting and support as required
Learns new models, techniques, and technologies as they emerge, integrating knowledge from multiple sources to bring new solutions to business problems
Disseminates knowledge to rest of team as appropriate
Assists in defining processes, procedures, tools and standards for the MCoE
Leads and mentors other team members in general software development principles as well as specific technologies
Contributes to the achievement of ABC organizational goals and objectives
EXPERIENCE
2+ years of native mobile application development experience for the iOS or Android platforms and demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas:
o Cross-platform mobile development using Appcelerator, Xamarin, RhoMobile, PhoneGap, Sencha or similar technologies
o Mobile Javascript frameworks such as JQuery Mobile, Titanium, Sencha Touch, Knockout.js, Node.js
o Knowledge of one or more design patterns including MVC/MVP/MVVM UI
o Cloud integration using RESTful web services and JSON
In rare cases, the above mobile development experience can be substituted with extensive javascript-based enterprise web development experience combined with a knowledge and passion for the mobility space
Knowledge of enterprise-related mobile development challenges such as back-end and cloud integration, app security, scalability and performance
Knowledge of, and the ability to apply, standard UXD principles as they relate to the target platform
Familiarity with source code version control systems including concepts such as trunks and branches
Thrives working within an Agile environment and all that it implies
