This consultant can sit in either Scottsdale, AZ or San Diego, CA.
HEALTHCARE experience is REQUIRED.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The IT Business Analyst is responsible for working with internal and external clients to define requirements for new systems or requirements for changes to existing systems. The Business Analyst will take leadership in ensuring system designs and implementations match requirements and will participate in high-level discussions regarding scope and alternative designs.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Work with end users to identify requirements for IT system development
· Review design and final work products to ensure compliance with requirements
· Work with QA testers to define test scenarios that exercise business requirements
· Independently drive meetings and work review to accomplish business objectives in a rapid design fashion
· Examine opportunities for improvement and actively promote business change
· Identifies measurements for business improvements and ensures these metrics are monitored after implementation
· Creates business roadmaps for planned capabilities
· Other duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline
Required Skills and Abilities:
· 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline Preferred
· 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Visio preferred
· 2+ years of Healthcare experience REQUIRED
· Familiar with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
· Ability to work in a self-directed fashion to determine appropriate levels of management and reporting in the environment
· Good interpersonal working relationships with other team members and with customers
· Strong problem-solving skills
· Ability to monitor and track multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
