As part of the 'landscape based migrations' stream within the HOUIC Exit program, we need a TPL to assist the PM with the end to end migration of the PARSE or Livelink environment from IC to CY1. The candidate will also be required to assist in coordination of the execution of the migrations within the stream together with the other TPL's.
Develop runbook, provide technical input, test connectivity, participate in move of tape libraries (eject tapes, shutdown devices, perform health checks etc)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The expectation from the Technical Project Lead ( TPL ) is to produce, agree, and monitor projects technical deployment plans according to strict deadlines in complex projects environments. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party consultants in order to deliver several migration projects according to plan. The TPL will also be accountable for constant liaison with internal technical teams, partners and suppliers and other various Shell personnel in terms of effective coordination and execution of joint efforts. TPL will organize and manage technical resources according to the plans agreed and will ensure the desired levels of Acceptance put by Shell and T-Systems are achieved. Technical ability to understand and analyse systems architecture, through deep technical understanding of applications hosting and storage technologies in Data Centres environments.
? Coordinate designers, engineers, subject matter experts, vendors, service providers, and clients to deliver milestones according to the plan
? Efficiently and competently manage issues and risks during deployment and testing activities
? Track, assess and report technical teams progress against the plans agreed.
? Manages technical deployment scope and mitigates risk
? Deliver on CSLs ( Critical Service Levels )
? Manage Stakeholders
Deep awareness with following technologies: o Citrix o Vmware o NetApp and SAN storage o Wintel and Linux o Security Principles o Networking ? Experience working within a Global Client Organization ? Advanced mastery in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Project. ? Advanced use of WIKIs, Livelink, Sharepoint. ? Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. ? Ability to read and understand standard business and technical design and requirements documentation ? Excellent to amazing organizational, and team skills. ? Proven ability to work on under tight schedules and great pressure. ? Strong cognitive skills. ? Ability to work independently, take initiative and be flexible. ? Identify and report problems in a timely manner. ? Adaptability and flexibility to handle ambiguous conditions and changing priorities ? Customer facing skills ? Experience in working with virtual teams ( Global teams in EU, Americas and Asia regions ) EDUCATION: • Seven years of project responsibility, demonstrating leadership and management of project resources through various life cycle phases, including cross functional experience, is required • Eight years of management experience in which one or more of the following occurred is required: o Demonstrated strong abilities in relationship management o Demonstrated ability to manage multidiscipline, high performance work teams and development groups o Demonstrated competency in the execution of multiple, complex projects (to level 3), including managing resources across multiple projects to meet goals o Developed efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems o Minimum - Bachelors degree level education, more advanced education preferred (masters) in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent work experience, is required. o Experience in working within a program framework. • Completion of T-Systems' certification within 90 days of assuming the position is required • Executive-level communication skills, Business English proficiency – essential • Experience working with Large Companies, specifically in the infrastructure area, and have IT Solution Expertise would be helpful. • Global coordination will be required with direct reporting into the US and Europe.
