Our client, a world-leading financial services firm, has an Immediate Opportunity for an experienced CORE Java Developer to join their team in Chicago, IL on a Long-Term contract basis. The selected candidate will be an expert Java developer with proven experience in OO Design, design patterns, multi-threading, tuning and debugging, code profiling, and code optimization. Work history in the financial services industry is preferred.
Must have experience in developing mission critical, high availability, large/complex applications with real-time data. Candidate must have deep experience in test driven development, messaging, Collections framework, memory management, Spring framework, Unix/Linux, and large/complex transaction batch processing environment.
Seeking Sr. developers that can operate with minimal supervision and capable of working independently. Seeking strong communicators that can explain their development approach, use of technologies, and be accountable for the quality of their efforts.
Skills required: 10+ years Core Java development, multi-threading, OO Design, tuning and debugging, code optimization, unit testing, large/complex batch processing environment, Spring Framework, web technologies (not web development), Ant, Eclipse IDE, XML, Version Control, JMX, memory management, RMI, SQL.
