The Systems Administrator Associate position is in the Infrastructure Team.

Responsibilities

•      Responsible for administration, configuration, troubleshooting and support of TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager) server environments running under various Operating Systems with a focus on AIX but may include Windows, Solaris and Linux.
•      Responsible for the management, design and implementation of high-end backup & archive systems and tape storage systems.
•      Provisions physical infrastructure to enable business continuity and operational back-up and recovery capabilities for business applications.
•      Support backup and recovery applications and networks and resolving I/O issues related to backup/recovery activities.
•      Provides resolutions to an extensive range of complicated problems.
•      Strong scripting skills to automate day to day tasks and configuration management. Possesses strong network knowledge and skilled in network protocols such as tcp/ip and DNS, DHCP.
•      Hands on with TSM Server installs, rack/stack, storage configuration (NAS,SAN).

Required Skills

• Minimum of seven years of experience in IT
• Minimum of five years of experience acting as an Administrator in configuration, troubleshooting and support of Tivoli server environments with experience administering TSM 7.1 in an AIX environment
• Must have experience working with Tivoli supporting DB2 databases
• Candidate must have excellent written and verbal skills
•  Must be able document and articulate to others key issues in his technical arena
•  Ability to work independently and solve major technical problems in their area of expertise
•  Ability to take the lead in problem solving and coordination of multi-disciplinary groups
• Ability to drive problem resolution through vendor escalation channels for his product area
• Bachelors Degree

IBM Certified Advanced Deployment Professional - IBM Service Management Network and Service Assurance
IBM Certified Advanced Deployment Professional - IBM Service Management Service Availability and Performance Management
IBM Certified Administrator - Tivoli Monitoring
