Job: Senior Systems Engineer (Desktop)
Location: Jacksonville,FL
Duration: 12+ Months contract

RATE:$40-50/Hr on C2C  Max..!!

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr. Systems Engineer Desktop is responsible for serving as an advanced-level technical expert. This position will participate in or oversee a variety of analytical and technical assignments that provide for problem diagnosis, solutions documentation, implementation, administration, support, and maintenance of a variety of hardware, software, and network products in an information technology infrastructure environment. This position will apply technical analysis, design and implementation skills to ensure alignment of corporate systems with Enterprise Architecture and industry best practices. A primary objective of this position is to ensure the commonality of technical components and approaches across production systems. This position will work closely with Application Development team leads, Operations management, Release Managers, Infrastructure Engineering and Enterprise Architecture.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: THE FOLLOWING ARE THE USUAL, BASIC AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION. THESE FUNCTIONS ARE NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS AN EXHAUSTIVE LIST OF ALL RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES, AND SKILLS REQUIRED.


REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or related field OR 4 years of relevant experience OR a combination of college education and relevant work experience equivalent to 4 years.
7 or more years of experience administering various systems and applications.
5 years of experience working as a systems engineer in a large or medium sized company.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge and understanding of ITIL, COBIT, and/or MOF.
Knowledge of formal Change Management, Configuration Management and Release Management.
Knowledge and understanding of software development environments and tools.
Networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)
Current mid-level certification in appropriate vertical.
Knowledge or experience in Property & Casualty Insurance industry.
