Job Title: Java Architect

Location: Austin, TX

Type of hire: Contract

Rate $50/Hour Max

Must Have:

• Architect and design Java/J2EE applications

• Strong experience around Java/J2EE development and testing and hands- on development around Spring MVC, web services and XML ( XSD, XSL, JAXB, SAX ).

• Strong development skills on Java, Java Applets, Web Programming Skills, Teamwork, Verbal Communication, Web User Interface Design, Software Requirements, Software Development Process, Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Multimedia Content Development, Software Debugging

• Successfully lead large initiatives involving cross-functional coordination with large groups, such as the Business Units, Architecture, Operations, and third parties.

• Develop frameworks and strategies, to meet the business and application and technical support requirements and/or technology initiatives

• Analyze the existing applications and provide recommendations for architectural change

• Expected to conduct system analysis with limited support from professional staff, to keep our systems current with changing technologies.

• Responsible for analysis of current programs including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of problem programs, and designing solutions to problematic programming

• Proof of concept of the new framework

• Create/Design high level design diagrams/documents for new application or enhancements

• Review the designs documents created by team

• Review the critical code components

• Provide solutions for the critical issues in the applications

• Mentor the team in the new application and technologies
