Role: Tableau TL for Onsite position – 10 +Yrs. Of experience
Location: Bay Area, CA
Duration: 6+ Months
• Overall 10 + years' experience in BI & DWH
• Expertise working with Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop
o Hands-on experience with installation, upgradation, backup/restore as part of Admin activity
• Expert level knowledge on Tableau Architecture and best practices
• Well versed with different security implementations with (local and AD based)
• Experience working with both Extract and Live connections with data volume of few GBs to Tera bytes
• Should be able to directly interact and work with business users
• Should have excellent communication skill
• Good experience working with MSBI stack (SSIS, SSRS and SSAS)
• Advanced knowledge of SQL
• Hands on with mashups, pivot tables, and lists, bar graphs, line graphs, box and whisker plots, tree maps, scatterplots, histograms, Pareto charts, control charts, small multiples, spark lines, and network paths
• Should be able proactive suggest visualization alternatives based on the understanding of the business
• Well-versed with relational, dimensional, and modeling techniques
• Knowledge (need not be at expert level) of at least 1 additional BI tools like Business Objects, Cognos, OBIEE, Qlik would be required
• Hands on with creating variance reports, financial reports, drill through, and other common type of reports
• Prepare enterprise data sources for use with Tableau, including non-structured, dimensional, and relational sources
• Hands on data analyst and modeler with exceptional skills for accessing and manipulating data sets on a variety of platforms including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, relational databases, dimensional data models, OLAP cubes, and Microsoft Tabular Models
• Prior experience with Manufacturing customers and familiarity with a specific domain process is desired and an added advantage
• High familiarity in working on a Global delivery model is a must
• Prior exposure in support Pre-sales efforts will also be an added advantage
