Job Title - Data Analysis/Architect 

Location – McLean, VA

Duration – Full Time

Sr. Architect level role that will work on building and improving vital data & integration platforms that support our cloud-based and Data API solutions. This role will not only be responsible for architecting data pipeline solutions, but will also be responsible for providing technical leadership, development, and operational support of the solutions. We realize the space is new and no candidate's resume may be a perfect fit, so we are willing to invest in someone with the right background & experience on some of these exciting new technologies (Hortonworks Hadoop, WS02 etc.).

 

•  Own, architect and drive the Data Pipeline & Data Integration strategy

•  Participate in enterprise-wide governance of data integration and its application

•  Maintain close working relationships with other related groups (Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, etc.) so that we can develop and execute an   enterprise level strategy for moving data securely both inside and outside of the enterprise.

•  Maintain relevant business & data knowledge from source systems so you can understand appropriate application and interpretation of data.

•  Provide technical leadership in the development of cloud-based database platforms and (becoming an expert in non-traditional database technologies like Big data and no-SQL)

•  Participate in project planning sessions with Project Managers, Business Analysts and Engineers to analyze business / technology requirements and outline the proposed technology solution.

•  Own the solution - participate in administering and operating the delivered solutions as well as the platforms that those solutions are deployed to (these are typically cloud-based platforms); this may require providing off hours support.

•  Ability to adapt to a dynamic & changing environment.

 

Experience required: 7-10 years in Data warehouse architecture & Service Oriented Architecture

                                   : 3-5 years in Big Data and Data Services architecture
