Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator (Req# 51439)
Location: Atlanta, GA(Locals or from neighboring states)
Duration: 6+ months
Primary Skills: 5+ years Oracle DBA exp, SQL and MYSQL, Banner SIS
Stabilize current oracle environment
Build new oracle environment
Develop oracle backup procedures, including testing and validation
Train system administrators on basic oracle tasks
Size and tune Oracle databases
Automate routine DBA tasks
Establish database monitoring scripts
Requirements:
5 years Oracle DBA experience
Experience installing, upgrading and patching Oracle servers on both Linux and Windows
Experience installing, configuring and testing Oracle backups, including RMAN
Experience installing, upgrading and patching Oracle TNS network services
Experience scripting and automating DBA tasks
Preferred:
Experience installing, upgrading and patching Oracle on Solaris and Solaris X86
Experience with MySQL/MariaDB
Experience with Microsoft SQL server
Logical:
Requirements:
Experience with data modeling and database schema and Oracle schema objects design
Experience with designing and implementing backup & recovery systems
Experience with SQL tuning and database performance optimization
Experience with database migration and database migration tools
Experience with reviewing, implementing and release database changes as submitted by the development team
Work closely with the application development team to improve standards and process
Preferred:
Ability to learn quickly, fill knowledge gaps, and innovate
Experience with managing large databases
Experience diagnosing database performance and suggesting solutions
Oracle experience required
MySQL experience preferred
Banner SIS experience preferred
