• Role: Sr. Android developer
• Location: SFO, CA
• Client is retail industry
• Duration: 6 months+
• Pay Rate: DOE
• Note: In-person interview is a MUST, Please submit ONLY local candidates.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Development of native Android applications Work cross-functionally to develop new features in existing Android projects Maintenance of existing Android projects Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code.
• Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application Maintain high level of test coverage Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.

 

Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent work related experience.
• Four plus years of Android.
• Strong object-oriented programming and design skills.
• Demonstrated success in working with the Agile development cycle.
• Experience developing frameworks, components, and SDKs Demonstrated success in Android design patterns.
• Passion for product quality and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated success in delivering excellent applications, including a portfolio.

 

Needed skills:

• Android Studio and Gradle
• Knowledge of Material Design
• Offline Data Storage in Android
• Asynctasks / Threading / Service / Callbacks Design Patterns such as Singleton ViewHolder Recyclerview

 

Nice knowledge to have:

• User experience and user interface concepts Realm DB Event Bus Retrofit Multidex Animations RX Java
