Position: Java Production Support Engineer

Location: Palo Alto, CA

Duration: 6+ month

Interview process: Phone – Coding test – Onsite interview.

 

 

This candidate is covering for a Mat leave. They need a support engineer who can complete code fixes, debug, and do code reproduction. Ideally, this person should have experience with production side applications. They will not interface with customers.

 

Must haves:

 

1)      Java

2)      SQL

3)      Eclipse

4)      This is more of a coder + support + tester role.

5)      Need a mixed experience in development and support -  total 5 +years would suffice.

 

 

Position: Senior Software Support Engineer

 

Senior Software Support Engineer 

 

Responsible for interfacing with Technical Support and Software Development to provide deep level analysis to product related issues through testing, investigating, providing workarounds and resolving customer reported problems.  Duties include responding to escalation requests from Technical Support; providing mitigation solutions using Java applications, and web technologies such as JavaScript, AJAX; producing code fix for maintenance releases; Supporting Hosted Production Servers and utilizing the programming language Java and databases such as Oracle and SQL to troubleshoot and maintain the web applications. 

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

Bachelor's/Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, 4 years of experience in the job offered, a System Engineer or a related software development occupation.

 

As an alternative, Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered a System Engineer or a related software development occupation.

 

This position also requires education or experience must include: Mitigation/Debugging web applications, Java, Eclipse, Linux Shell Scripting, Oracle PL/SQL Database, and ANT.

 

Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
