My client is looking for a JAVA Developer for their location in NYC This is a Contract Position (6+ months). USC/GC
About the position:
The successful candidate will be experienced in implementing real time applications for front office in JAVA.
He will be part of a team designing and implementing a new service oriented architecture (SOA) for trading system.
Responsibilities:
• Implement server side component to support a new trading system based on a SOA architecture
• Work in collaboration with UI application developer and business tier developers
Requirements:
• 7 years of experience in Java on Unix/Linux is required.
• Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with trading system
• Financial industry experience (Commodities , Equities ,Futures , Options)
• Experience in leveraging OSS instead of building from ground-up is mandatory.
• Experience with messaging technologies, such as Tibco ,JMS , RabbitMQ
• Knowledge of CEP such as ESPER , STREAMBASE , in-memory databases.
• The successful candidate will have a full understanding of building resilient systems with redundancy and failover capabilities, and demonstrated experience building such platforms.
• Understanding of SDLC and experience with such tools as Jira, GIT, Jenkins, Ant.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks
• A successful candidate will be passionate about technology and will have the drive to stay abreast of the latest industry practices and technological innovations.
