Senior Integration Engineer/ TIBCO

The Senior Integration Engineer is responsible for collaborating with the various PetSmart business areas to design and build sustainable integration solutions to meet business needs and add significant business value. The individual will execute the design, build, test and deployment of the solution to ensure it meets design specification and ultimately the business requirements.

Works with Analysts, Solution Architects and other IT teams to build detailed technical design and specification documents, to meet business needs for large complex projects, considering capabilities, risks, and system dependencies.

Champion efforts to ensure appropriate development best practices.

Work on multiple concurrent projects, meet business expectations, influence outcomes and maintain stated timelines.

What you will bring to the table:

BA/BS Degree in IT, MIS or business related functional discipline.

Experience using the tools in the PetSmart Enterprise Integration Platform: Tibco EMS, BW 5 & 6, Informatica PC, B2B-MFT, SQL Server and Oracle. Experience with other similar tool sets can be substituted.

Minimum 2 years hands on Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), architectures, integration patterns and best practices, such as: messaging integration (JMS), Restful APIs, SOAP, ETL and MFT.

Strong Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) skills.

You will be responsible for collaborating with the various business areas to design and build sustainable solutions to meet business needs and add significant business value. The individual will execute the detailed design, build, test and deployment of the solution to ensure it meets specifications and ultimately the business requirements.

Your goals and responsibilities will include:

Analyzes current landscape in multiple domains to identify opportunities on the application and integration layer to elaborate refactoring proposals.

Key contributor on defining and building architectural runway on the enterprise application and integration landscape to help IT development teams and projects to increase time-to-market providing them a set of reusable enterprise grade assets.

Works with Solution Architects and business area teams to build detailed technical design and specification documents, to meet business needs, considering capabilities, risks, and system dependencies.

Builds, tests and coordinates deployment with Platform teams for enterprise applications and integration services.

Champions efforts to ensure appropriate development best practices.

Work on multiple concurrent projects, meet business expectations, influence outcomes and maintain stated timelines

What you'll bring to the table:

BA/BS Degree in IT, MIS or business related functional discipline.

Minimum 7 years hands on development, Informatica, Power Center, 101.2, experience with an SAP environment.

Experience on Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), architectures, integration patterns and best practices desired.

Strong domain on Restful API design and coding implementing multiple formats such as JSON and XML

Strong Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) skills.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand key business processes and related issues.

Automated unit and functional test scripts creation skills for integration services/APIs (J-Unit and J-Meter preferred)

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong self-leadership and ability to manage conflict.

Ability to lead project teams consisting of internal staff, partners, and contractors.

Ability to develop successful relationships with external and internal partners.

Experience using the tools in the: /.Net(C#)/Azure App Services/ Informatica/Tibco BW/Mulesoft (at least one of these mandatory)

SQL scripting skills for multiple backends such as Netezza, SQL Server and Oracle.

Job description:

·         Identification and documentation of non-functional requirements for targeted applications

·         Identifying the appropriate performance testing methodologies, tools, techniques

·         Design the enterprise automation performance test strategy

·         Design performance test scripts (automated, thru tool) for enterprise applications based on requirements

·         Run and manage performance test scripts

·         Participate in performance bottleneck analysis

·         Communicate progress and issues thru regular status reports and updates

·         Collaborate with business/application teams to improve system performance

·         Expertise in any of the performance testing tools (using JMeter, HP Performance Center/Load Runner, Storm Runner, Blaze meter, NeoLoad, etc.)

·         Execute load, stress, volume, endurance tests

·         Monitor application logs to determine system behavior.

·         Address all technical issues; facilitate resolution and necessary follow up with cross-functional teams

·         Analyze the CPU Utilization, Memory usage, Garbage collection, DB parameters to verify the application performance

·         Generate performance graphs, session reports and other related documentation for validation and analysis of runs and trends

·         Suggesting remediation approach

·         Publish results and receive appropriate sign-off

·         Monitoring of defects, identifying memory leakage, connection issues and identifying bottleneck

·         Strong problem solving skills and good time management skills

 

Qualification:

• Minimum of 5 years of working experience in designing performance test scripts
• Excellent knowledge of SQL
• Experience with AWS, Azure – Added advantage
• Strong understanding of Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, etc
• Experience with issue tracking tools such as JIRA, TFS, Rally, etc.
• Experience with build automation tools such as Maven, Gradle, etc.
• Strong hands on experience of designing and developing automation frameworks and performance test scripts, OOPS concepts, programming skills, either in C#, Java, VBScript, Groovy, etc.

·         Experience with application monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace Apmon, Riverbed, Visual Studio Profiling, etc.
