We have an urgent requirement of Senior System Analyst- Unix-Windows Admin with one of our direct client in FL.

 

Location : Tallahassee, FL

Duration: 2 Years

 

UNIX/Linux Related Experience

·         3 or more years' of experience with system administration including the proactive monitoring of systems environment and problem resolution, user support, printing support, system application support, Operating System (OS) support, hardware/software system installation, configuration, and maintenance.

·         3 or more years' of experience with business continuity and disaster recovery planning, including the backup and restore of data, business continuity methods and policies, system High availability and Disaster Recovery strategy and testing.

·         3 or more years' experience with systems documentation, procurement, and contract technical services, including the procurement of cost effective and efficient hardware/software systems, maintenance of support contracts and maintaining the environment documentation including standard operating procedures

 

Microsoft Related Experience

·         5 or more years' of experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008 Administration, setup and configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

·         5 or more years' of experience in Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft Office, LDAP, SMTP, TCP-IP, WINS, and DNS. as an MS SQL administrator inclusive of data design/modeling, monitoring, and performance tuning.

·         3 or more years' of experience with WSS 2.0, WSS 3.0, SharePoint Portal 2003, SharePoint 2007 systems.

·         3 or more years' of experience in SQL Server administration functionality, database relation to hosted applications, server connections, and troubleshooting

·         5 or more years' of experience with business continuity and disaster recovery planning, including the backup and restore of data, business continuity methods and policies, system High availability and Disaster Recovery strategy and testing.

·         5 or more years' experience with systems documentation, procurement, and contract technical services, including the procurement of cost effective and efficient hardware/software systems, maintenance of support contracts and maintaining the environment documentation including standard operating procedures

 

Enterprise Platform Related Experience

·         5 or more years' of experience in IT Service Management functionality as it relates to change management, release management, availability management, capacity management, IT service continuity management, service asset and configuration management with industry best practices, in partnership with internal agency partners, customers, third-party vendors and/or primary data centers.

·         5 or more years' of providing enterprise-wide system infrastructure support for complex system and interconnected technologies that require day-to-day support and administration in order to maintain optimum performance and utilization

·         5 or more years' of experience in troubleshooting complex systems and performing on-call duties with the ability to work within strict deadlines and with a wide spectrum of people.

 

DUTIES

1.       Perform UNIX/Linux system administration for approximately 500 enterprise systems, additional systems may be required of the agency;

2.      Perform Windows system administration for approximately 1,000 enterprise systems, additional systems may be required of the agency;

3.      Install, configure, and maintain UNIX/Linux server equipment, disk arrays, tape libraries, virtual tape libraries, and terminal servers; routine operation functions, maintain servers, current and new projects;

4.      Install, configure, and maintain Windows server equipment, disk arrays, tape libraries, virtual tape libraries, and terminal servers; routine operation functions, maintain servers, current and new projects;

5.      Perform proactive monitoring for high availability, system data protection, central authentication, user account management, disk storage management, hardware and OS maintenance, and application maintenance for all platforms serviced by ESPS;

6.      Install, configure, and maintain highly optimized virtual environments by staying current in virtualization technologies, including techniques in clustering, load balancing, and cluster file systems;

7.      Evaluate, implement, configure, support, and maintain computer workstation and peripheral equipment, telecommunications equipment, and data network equipment, such that they function in a stable, secure, efficient manner;

8.      Monitor, maintain, investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues reported by our users and support teams;

9.      Provide technical expertise to users, management, vendors, and peers and if needed, act as an end user liaison on behalf of the end user to troubleshoot user IT issues with other DOH business offices;

10.   Regularly review departmental documentation and processes for efficiency and accuracy;

11.    Be available for assignments that require travel;

12.   Be available to accept on-call rotation and assignments via an agency issued cellular device therefore providing after-hours support to our customers;

13.   Respond to calls and voicemails received on the agency issued cellular device.

14.   Assist and guide peers with more complex and elevated problem solving situations;

15.   Update internal stakeholders regarding project activities, deliverables, and status;

16.   Provide leadership, training and mentoring to other technicians for all department functions in the presence or absence of management;

17.   Take a leadership role in inter-departmental collaboration and communications;

18.   Provide analytical services for system incidents and enhancements;

19.   Process defect tickets to correct system errors within one (1) to two (2) business days;

20.  Review and update each ticket each day of which a response is expected when the ticket is in 'awaiting agent' status;

21.   Process tickets to manage user requirements within the timeframe directed by the specific ticket request. The response (due) date of tickets assigned will range from one (1) hour to more than one (1) week;

22.  Process change tickets to implement system changes as scheduled;

23.  Provide analytical services on systems to identify operational efficiencies;

24.  Facilitate collecting system requirements with the business program staff;

25.  Document system technical objects, business requirements, business processes, and system processes

26.  Perform testing on system changes to meet user-defined requirements;

27.  Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) with the business program staff;

28.  Facilitate meetings with technical and program staff (scheduling meetings, document decisions, identify issues and action items);

29.  Produce work estimates to implement user-defined requirements and system changes;

30.  Produce status reports on assignments, tickets, projects, and the implementation of requirements;

31.   Produce detailed accounting of hours worked by tasks;

32.  Provide analytical services on DOH processes to identify operational efficiencies;

33.  Provide analytical research to satisfy queries requested by the Legislature and DOH management;

34.  Follow DOH IT processes and coordinate with other DOH IT staff to ensure compliance with DOH standards; and

35.  Correspond (verbally and in written formats) with project teams

36.  Utilize spell check in all communications via any Agency-owned device, communications should be clear, professional, and properly produced to present the best collaboration possible;

37.  Be prepared to work varied work hours or a set schedule, as necessary to provide coverage in ESPS during our core business hours of 7:00 AM though 6:00 PM EST.
