Position: Desktop Engineer/ VMWare Packager

Location- Woonsocket RI

Duration: 6+ Months
Experience: 10+ Years

 

Requirements

1. 10+ years of technical experience in engineering, integration and support of desktop technologies including hardware, software, SCCM, Active Directory, Group Policy and DNS

2. 5+ years’ experience with VMWare ThinApp packaging

3. Strong application packaging (Wise Package Studio, Flexera Admin Studio, VMware ThinApp) and conflict management skills

4. Superior knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems including Windows XP and Windows 7, Server 2003 and 2008, Microsoft Office, and working knowledge of Linux

5. Prior leadership experience, preferably in a team driven technical environment

6. Understanding of LAN/WAN and mobile computing environments

7. Experience integrating and supporting mobile and wireless devices

8. Demonstrated project management experience including large-scale or enterprise deployments

9. Experience supporting Virtualization technologies such as VMWare Workstation, ESX, Lab Manager, View, Citrix Provisioning Server

10. Proven competence in business, information, application, and technology components of enterprise engineering; strong systems analysis, analytical problem solving skills

11. Extensive knowledge of desktop Imaging (MDT), software architecture and network design principles

12. Experience with Thin Client technologies such as HP/Neoware and Windows Embedded

13. Knowledge of scripting tools (i.e., VB)
