Job Title: SR Front-End Developer / SR. UI Developer

Responsibilities
• Act as a member of the Software Center of Excellence, representing the face of high quality design and development practices
• Partner and work closely with the back end development team for seamless integration
• Participate in determining the technical roadmap and strategy for the underlying platform
• Develop front-end systems with JavaScript, AngularJS, Node.js, Bootstrap, Backbone, HTML5, CSS and MV* frameworks such as, Ember, Dojo, etc.
• Partner and work closely with the User Experience (UX) team to translate wireframes and designs into code
• Develop best practices for developing modern web applications and mentor junior developers on the team
Qualifications / Requirements
• At least 10 years of professional experience in software and web application development is required
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience building rich, single-page applications using HTML5, CSS and JavaScript (familiarity with Bootstrap & LESS is a plus) consuming RESTful APIs and JSON
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Desired Characteristics:
• Understanding of Javascript design patterns and MV* frameworks (i.e. AngularJS, Backbone, Ember, Dojo, Node.js)
• Knowledge of common UI testing frameworks (eg. Jasmine, JSCoverage)
• Understanding of UX principles and best practices
• Knowledge of common browser developer tools and performance tuning techniques
• Experience with responsive web design
• Knowledge of CI (Continuous Integration) techniques for UI (i.e. Bower, Grunt)
• Experience working with websockets and HTML5 web storage
• Experience with Agile (Scrum) and test driven development and version control (SVN, git, etc.).
• Energetic, out of the box, technical innovator who will bring their expertise along with a keen drive to learn new technologies.
• Keen focus toward consistency and attention to detail primarily related toward coding standards.
• Possesses an operational mindset to build a platform that is easy to run
• Ability to hit tight deadlines and work under pressure.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills: verbal, written and listening.
• Strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive.
• Demonstrated customer focus - evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoints.
