1. BUSINESS ANALYST ROLE DESCRIPTION
This Business Analyst role is within the DWS Technology team and will interact directly with the various business groups globally, e.g. Global Client Group, Trading, Risk, Compliance and Finance along with various technology and Operation teams.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for delivering the requirements on the AM Strategic projects and Business driven and regulatory driven changes.
Qualifications / Skills
· Minimum 10+ years Business Analysis experience.
Asset Management Domain Knowledge
· 5+ years' experience working within Asset Management business
· Strong understanding of trading and portfolio management and/or compliance and risk management workflows
· Detailed understanding of assets and asset classes (Fixed Income and Equities) and associated financial instruments including cash and derivatives.
Technical Skills
· 3+ years expertise in Trade Order Management System functionality and related business processes
· Working experience with Data provider platform like Bloomberg/Reuters etc.
· Experience with Enterprise data management tool a plus
· Highly competent with SQL, XML, JSON.
· Must possess strong data and process analysis skills and attention to details.
· Experience in dealing with complex Data / Technical architecture a must
· Ability to work with large data sets, process flows and reporting flows
· Advance skills in MS applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access, Visio)
· Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
Soft Skills
· Ability to partner with various front / middle office teams and development teams to drive and achieve objectives and execute project work, as required.
· Demonstrated success with typical Business Analyst deliverables: business requirements, functional specifications, system/workflow diagrams, functional test plans documentation and execution.
· Inquisitive nature and able to ask pertinent questions that tease out issues and drive the analysis forward
· Ability to multi-task in a high pressure environment
· Ability to pick up new product and technical knowledge quickly
· Ability to quickly learn new and complex processes
· Self-starter, able to set own targets and timelines and manage delivery expectations with users
· Excellent communication skills; fluent in English (written and verbal)
Education
· Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Finance
· CFA highly preferred
Roles and Responsibilities
· Work with various front office / middle office teams to define business challenges and translate that to business and functional requirements specification
· Development and maintenance of standard project artifacts including business requirements documents, test cases and project plans
· Work with development teams and architects towards design and implementation of technology solutions with a high level of quality, flexibility and scalability
· Analyze large data sets, process flows and reporting flows
· Analyze and document current state systems flows and processes to bring transparency to the complexity and interdependence between systems and data
· Perform system integration testing
· Coordinate end user testing and plan rollout
· Perform root cause analysis on production issues and provide recommendations to mitigate risk and preventive actions
