Job Title:  Java Developer (previously Blaze Rules Config Analyst)
Location:  Lake Forest,CA
Duration:  6+ Months

Description/Comment:    
Work as a Java analyst for Apria's Java Shared Services team to design and implement a new solution to support Apria's Order Intake and Order to Cash processes and other new initiatives.
• Develop/enhance/maintain enterprise level applications based on Websphere portal and related Java technologies
• Work closely with business users and system analysts to understand and help define application and technical requirements. Help ensure that these requirements tie back to the established business requirements and performance goals and that the technical direction is consistent with Apria's long-term direction
• Follow development standards and procedures; ensure compliance with standards and procedures defined by Apria development team
• Communicate with the Development manager issues that may affect coding, system integration and system testing areas of committed projects
• Work with architect team to design software changes and new functionality
• Review application and technical deliverables throughout development to ensure completeness, consistency, quality and requirement traceability; ensure that development standards are followed, including code reviews and unit testing
• Track defects and enhancement requests in ITIL-based application
• Work closely with QA group while QA is testing system changes
• Attend weekly development status meeting and provide detailed status report. Conduct weekly status meeting with the business users to prioritize new and open items, address open issues, and report on status of inflight activities.
• Provide guidance and mentoring for other team members in the Java Shared Services team.
• Perform other related duties as directed by Development manager
   
Mandatory Skills:
5-7 years of development experience, including strong Java and web application knowledge
• 5-7 years JAVA experience
• 5-7 years JAVA programming in a J2EE environment
• Experience with Eclipse IDE required
• Experience with Rational tools, RAD/RSA a plus
• Overall SDLC and basic project management experience a must.
• Good leadership skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills Desirable Skills:
• 3 – 5 years Blaze Rules engine experience.
