Job Description:

This position is part of the Customer Reporting and Analytics team working

to support the Marketing team, the Business Units

.

Performs disciplined and detailed reporting and analysis of customer data

that enables SHC to grow, engage, and retain its diverse customer base

across all formats. Provides fact based data driven insights on customer

behavior and lifetime value that direct change in the business and drives

incremental revenue.

As an analytical team member within the Customer Analytics department, the

Senior Analyst will work closely with his/her manager and other team members

to ensure all analysis are finished in a timely manner and the most accurate

and actionable data is provided to the business. Will proactively suggest

new ways to look at business problems presented.

Will work with members of the team to validate and improve technical

processes. Will gather requirements for specific analysis, and present

completed work to the business with support from management.

Job Requirements

. Execute concise and actionable business reporting with actionable

customer insights

. Work with team members and business partners to define requirements

for analysis and reporting.

. Gather data, apply analysis methods, and synthesize conclusions into

recommendations.

. Present findings to manager and business partners.

. Anticipate what additional questions may be asked based on the

findings and ensure the data set is constructed to answer those questions

quickly if requested.

. Develop, maintain and enhance reporting and analysis processes to

help generate profitable incremental sales in marketing.

. Prepare documentation for developed analysis to support business

strategies.

. Be a team leader for automation, stream-lined processes and

technical best practices.

. Identify and communicate data inconsistencies. Take initiative to

determine root cause, and make recommendations for resolution.

. Use analytics to provide business recommendations to management and

advise business partners

. Set up experimental designs to answer business questions

. Acquire solid understanding of SHC businesses to drive our culture;

focus on the customer, make more money, and improve everyday.

Education/Training:

. BS or BA in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other

related fields. MA, MS, or MIS a plus.

Experience:

. Must have extensive experience executing SQL queries of advanced

complexity. Teradata SQL experience is a plus.

. Strong understanding of Relational Databases. Marketing Retail

database is plus.

. Must have reporting or business analytics experience. Marketing

metrics experience a plus.

. 3 - 5 years prior professional data mining and/or business

analytics.

Role specific abilities/skills:

. Highly proficient in SQL, SAS or other data mining packages.

. Advanced Excel skills

. Ability to work in a fast paced team environment

. Excellent technical and analytical skills

. Effective written and verbal communication skills
