Description:
- The consultant will be responsible for the operation of multi-user computer systems and application management for Cobol (CICS, Batch, DB2 and VSAM) and Assembler.
- Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space
- Must have knowledge of Mainframe IBM z/OS operating system.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills are required.
- Should have knowledge and experience with IBM DB2 and CICS installation, maintenance, and support.
- Candidate needs to be familiar with SMPE, RACF, Assembler, IPCS, methods and tools.
- The consultant will be expected to comply with policies, procedures and work instructions; perform incident and problem management, change and configuration management.
- The administrator will be considered a specialist in the field and will apply extensive technical expertise and knowledge of related disciplines, and will be able to communicate technical concepts effectively.
