Primary Job Responsibilities:

 Team is now hiring Hadoop engineers for L1 / L2 support. Data Management organization provides Data Movement and Integration, Business Intelligence, Analysts and Insights for client.

Job Description:

This role warrants Hadoop Operation Support to help fixing production failures. Candidate will be working on exciting DM projects and will be escalation point for L1 / L2 level support and needs in-depth knowledge on Hadoop Tools and Operations. Needs to have good analytical and problem solving skills, Candidates who are highly technical, passionate about data & analytics, self-motivated, creative problem-solvers with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced manner would be suitable for this role. Experience in Maintenance and production support is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Develop various facets on Hadoop Enterprise ecosystem to cater real-time data processing requirements, design, develop Map Reduce programs and provide L1, L2 Hadoop Support for Large Clusters ranging from 500 - 2000.
• Able to help and Guide L1 support engineers to fix day-to-day Operational issues.
  Perform Tuning and Increase Operational efficiency on a continuous basis.
• Formulate methods to enable consistent Data loading and optimize Hadoop operations.
  Monitor health of Hadoop Cluster and, Generate Performance Reports and Monitor and provide continuous improvements.
• Maintenance of Hadoop configuration files.

Skill & Experience Required :
Total 10+ years of experience in IT industry, with minimum 2 years of work experience in Hadoop Development / Operations environment.
Experience in Configuring and setting up Hadoop clusters and provide support for - aggregation, lookup & fact table creation criteria's, Map Reduce tuning, data node , NN recovery etc.
Experience in Linux / Unix OS - Services, Administration, Shell, awk scripting.
Experience in building and scalable Hadoop applications
Experience in Core Java, Hadoop (Map Reduce, Hive, Pig, HDFS, H-catalog, Zookeeper and OOzie)
Hands-on Experience in SQL ( Oracle ) and No SQL Databases (Hbase/Cassandra/Mongo DB).

Experience in building large scale real-world backend and middle-tier systems in Java
Experience in tool Integration , automation, configuration management in GIT, Jira platforms.

Excellent oral , written communication and presentation skills, analytical and problem solving skills.
Self-driven, Ability to work independently and as part of a team..
