Must Have Skills:
(a) Hands on experience in REST & SOAP webservices as Provider & Consumer.
(b) Work experience in Spring & hibernate.
(c) Work experience in SQL.
(d) Understanding of Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE) technologies
(d) Working knowledge in maven as build tool & Jenkins as Continious Integration tool
Desired Skills:
Articulate architecture and core concepts, such as when to apply Web services
Make decisions based on the advantages and trade-offs of different protocols
Job Roles/Responsibilites:
The Web services developer will design, create, package, publish, and test Web services, and support the development of clients that access them securely. This includes developing Web services using the Web services wizards, debugging and monitoring Web services using the TCP/IP Monitor, publishing Web services to a UDDI registry, configuring handlers and security in Web service deployment descriptors, and using the WS-I tools to develop interoperable Web services.
The Web services developer will also use an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) such as use IBM Rational Application Developer to develop Web services.
The Web services developer will also package and deploy Web services to the IBM WebSphere Application Server runtime environment.
