Location: Santa Monica, CA.

Term: 12 month contract

The Senior Storage Engineer provides the operational support of the Storage Infrastructure. The Storage Engineer will provide advanced technical support to build, configure and deploy, manage and protect our multi-vendor, multi-location storage pool.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

 

• Setup and Management of CommVault Enterprise Backup solution.
• Build, configure, and deployment of EMC VNX and NS Class, Isilon and DDN Storage platforms
• Establish and maintain Storage architecture best practices, including procedures, guides, templates, and relevant documentation
• Work closely with business and IT associates, and outside vendors to effectively choose, plan, deploy and maintain system changes.
• Serve as part of our 24x7 support of the environment, including on call support.
• Provide day-to-day support, and guidance the Linux and Windows Administration teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

 

• 5 + years experience working in information technology required.
• 3 + years Enterprise Backup and Archiving experience, preferably with Commvault.
• Strong knowledge of SAN and NAS Storage technologies from EMC, Isilon and DDN.
• Cisco UCS knowledge a strong plus.
• Working with diverse co-located Data Center.
• Working knowledge of VMWare and/or KVM Virtualization.
• Working Knowledge of Networking Infrastructure a plus.
• Working knowledge of Windows Infrastructure a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
